Award-winning vocalist Allira Wilson is one of Australia’s most captivating crossover artists - seamlessly blending the sophistication of jazz with the soul, storytelling and accessibility of contemporary music. With a voice that is both powerful and deeply intimate, Allira effortlessly moves between smoky jazz standards, modern soul, cinematic ballads and contemporary favourites, creating performances that feel refined, emotional and completely unforgettable.
An Australian Jazz Bell Award winner, she has worked with notable artists and ensembles such as Kate Ceberano, Guy Sebastian, Barney McAll, Invenio and WASO. She is featured on records such as Alice Humphries' ‘ECILA’, the Rick Webster Project, Freddie Grigsons ‘Duos’ and Barney Mc All and Gian Slater’s collaboration ‘Global Intimacy’. Wilson released her album ‘Rise and Fall’ in 2014, ‘I Am Like The Rain - The Music of Paul Simon’ on ABC Music in July 2020 and her most recent release with collaborator Harry Mitchell's Quiet Country 'Sadness or Euphoria' in 2023.
She continues to work regularly in Australia’s jazz venues and is amain stay among the Jazz Festival circuit right across Australia. She has performed at the Perth International Jazz Festival, Melbourne Jazz Festival, Wangaratta Jazz Festival and Melbourne’s White Night Festival, Brisbane Jazz Festival and most recently Sydney Con Jazz Festival.
Wilson has been on the faculty at WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) for the past 6 years teaching Jazz and Contemporary Voice
